Here at the Military History website we are keen to help you find out all about the greatest military heroes and historical campaigns. But more than providing interesting reading, our hope is to honour those who fought for their countries. One way this is done is through observing Veterans Day, which is otherwise known as Remembrance Day or Armistice Day. This latter name Armistice is because the eleventh of November is the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War One, and it is a good chance to remember everyone who served their country.
